MUSIC TOOLS

THE MUSICIAN'S TOOLKIT

Every tool free and in your browser, grouped by what you are trying to do — understand the theory, train your ear, write a progression, keep time, or set up an instrument. Work through them in order, or jump to the one you need.

Where to start

New to this? The Studio courses teach music from the ground up, in order — begin with Sound Foundations. The tools below are the hands-on half of that: practice what a lesson covers, then keep going.

Just need an answer? Jump to the Circle of Fifths, Scale Library, Chord Library or the Ear Trainer.

Working through theory properly? The Music Theory Fundamentals path is the full ladder, and every drill below has a place on it — read the notes on the stave in the Sight-Reading Trainer, name key signatures in the Key Signature Trainer, build the chords yourself on the Keyboard Trainer, hear them in the Chord & Scale Ear Trainer, and finish by writing music down from hearing alone in the Dictation Trainer.

HOW THIS FITS TOGETHER

LEARN, PRACTISE, REFERENCE

Studio is the course — music from the ground up in a set order, 360 lessons across 15 paths. These tools are the practice: a lesson explains intervals, then you drill them in the Ear Trainer; a lesson covers keys, then you explore them on the Circle of Fifths. Every lesson ends with a link to the drill that practises exactly what it just explained.

The Scale Library and Chord Library are the reference — look a shape up when you hit it, the way you would a dictionary. The gear database shows what real artists play once you are ready to buy.

No sign-up, no paywall, no ads. Everything runs in your browser.
