WHAT IS THE CAMELOT WHEEL?

The Camelot Wheel is a system invented by Mark Davis of Mixed In Key that assigns a number and letter (A for minor, B for major) to each musical key. Keys that share the same number or adjacent numbers are harmonically compatible — they share most of the same notes, so mixing between them sounds smooth and musical.

The rules are simple: you can mix to the same key (e.g. 8A → 8A), move one number up or down (8A → 7A or 9A), switch between minor and major at the same position (8A → 8B), or combine those moves. Use this wheel before your sets to plan key-compatible transitions and take your DJ sets to the next level.
